Rome
The city of Rome is over 2,700 years old. Although nowadays it's a
very busy modern city, it's still steeped in history and exudes
charm. It has become one of the most popular cities in the world.
There's an enormous amount of spectacular ancient Roman monuments to
be seen here You'll be completely spoilt for choice. The most
important (and impressive) ones are: The Vatican City, The Forum,
the Collosseum and the ruins of the Circus Maximus - where the
gladiators would fight against each other to their deaths, often up
to 375,000 spectators would attend this barbaric sporting event.
Palermo
Palermo is the regional capital of Sicily. The area has been under
numerous dominators over the centuries, including Roman,
Carthaginian, Byzantine, Greek, Arab, Norman, Swabian and Spanish
masters. Due to this past, to the cultural exchange that for
millennia has taken place in the area, the city is still an exotic
mixture of many cultures. Many of the monuments still exist giving
the city somewhat unique appearance.

Cagliari
Blessed with a mild climate, the regional capital of Sardinia
(164.250 inhabitants) is a town full of fascinating history and
friendly people. Located on the southern side of the island,
Cagliari is linked to the mainland by the port and the airport. It
has been inhabited for a very long time, and owes its features to a
melting pot of traditions, architectural styles and habits,
influenced in turn by the former Roman, Byzantine, Spanish and
Piedmont’s dominations. A blend of the old and the new,
Cagliari is at the same time historic culture and a leading centre
of Sardinian economy. In Cagliari, culture, folklore, cuisine are
not clichés: they are really part of the everyday life.
Reggio di Calabria
Reggio Calabria, for short lies on the east side of the Strait of
Messina. The old port the Greek Rhegion (founded in the 743 B.C.) or
Roman Rhegium, is the principal town and the Capital of Calabria. It
was destroyed by an earthquake in 1783, and again suffered heavy
damage in 1908. Thereafter it was rebuilt and recovered all its
former economic importance.
Naples
Naples lies on the coast just south of Rome. It's one of southern
Italy's most vibrant and important cities. Although the city has
recently undergone a major renovation, it still retains most of its
old character. You'll still find many fascinating historical and
artistic treasures.
