Coffee

It is always a good time to have a coffee (farsi un caffè), at home or in a bar. At home, of course after lunch and dinner (even though the health conscious are beginning to prefer a herbal tea in the evening), it is made with the classic moka, and it is served in a small cup, always accompanied with sugar.

At a bar, an espresso is drunk steaming hot, whilst standing. Upon request you can have a caffè lungo (when the amount of water is more and the taste is lessened), a macchiato (with a dash of hot or cold milk, depending on your choice), a corretto (when the preference is to add a little grappa or cognac), freddo in the summer.
