• To say 'this' and 'that', you use questo and quello. They change if the word they're linked to is masculine or feminine, singular or plural. You can use them on their own if it's clear what you're talking about:

  Mi piace questa giacca. Mi piace molto questa	I like this jacket. I like this one a lot
  Mi piace quella camicia. Quella mi piace molto	I like that shirt. I like that one a lot

   

• To be even more specific, you can add a describing word, or adjective, such as those describing colour:

  Preferisco questa giacca, questa marrone

  I prefer this jacket, this brown one
