tosse (literally 'the cough', and not 'a cough' as in English).
- To say that you've got a specific ache you say
Ho mal di... directly followed by the
name for the part of the body. Ho mal di pancia
Ho mal di testa.
- To say that something hurts you say Mi fa
male..., followed by the part of the body that hurts. Mi fa
male la caviglia Mi fa male il ginocchio.
