How to use the work packages

 

For an introduction and a summary of the Ready Study Go -project, you can click the project READY STUDY GO -page

 

The material is available in five different languages and in each language there are four work packages

 

• General Language
• Restaurant including cooking and service
• Hotel
• Bakery (except Italian work package)

 

All work packages are suitable for autonomous learning. We recommend that you start studying with the Ready Study Gowork packages at least two months before your work placement. You are advised to continue studying the materials also during your stay abroad and even after.

 

Keep the following in mind

 

When you open the material, on the first page you will find the general objectives and the content for the section. On the bottom of each page there are four symbols

 

• help, which contains the student's manual
• general dictionary
• back to the very first page of the work package that your are studying
• move forward in sections

 

Start each section by reading the text first and then listen to the recording of it.
To understand the text you can refer to these tips

 

• vocabulary
• translation

 

Vocabulary and translation are among the function buttons on the left side of the main page. When you have read the text once and have checked the vocabulary and translation, you should read the text again and be able to understand it. Even though the vocabulary and general dictionaries will provide you with the relevant general vocabulary, you can of course use other relevant online dictionaries, too, as a support to your studies. You can also practice your pronunciation of the target language by reading the text at loud voice.

The last function button on the left side takes you to the exercises. When you do the exercises you will also receive feedback in relation of how well you were able to process the content of the work packages and how much you have learned. You can do the exercises as many times as you want.

 

• language information button

 

The language information button will give you further language specific information.
Web links will further enhance your knowledge of the specific topic that you were studying.

 

We recommend that you start with the General Language work package. Then you can choose any of the other three work packages as there is no specific order. It is more important that the content will suit your vocational background of studies.

 

One of the main things with you coaching is to make your skills and competences clearly understood. Click on Europass and fill in yourself your personal Europass Curriculum Vitae (CV) and your Europass Language Passport.
